Student Resource Services
At Victory Christian Academy (VCA), we believe all students deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our Special Education department is dedicated to providing support and accommodations to every student with qualifying disabilities.
Collaboration is Key:
Our resource team works collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Choice School Education Plans (CSEPs) as well as Accommodation Plans (APs). Each plan is tailored to meet the individual needs of the student.
How We Support Students:
We offer a range of services to support students with disabilities, including:
CSEP & Accommodation Plan Implementation: Creating and using personalized learning plans to meet individual student needs.
CSEP Progress Monitoring: Tracking student progress toward their individualized learning goals.
Resource Rooms: Dedicated space for providing specialized instruction and support to students.
Paraprofessionals & Resource Aides in the Classrooms: Extra support in the classroom from trained personnel who assist students.
Speech & Language Services: Therapy for students experiencing speech and/or language difficulties.
Frequent Check-Ins: Regular communication and observation of student progress to ensure ongoing support.
Response to Intervention (RTI): A multi-tiered system of support to identify and address student learning challenges.
A Christ-Centered Approach to Learning:
Every child is uniquely created in God’s image and possesses inherent gifts and talents. Our Special Education department integrates these values into its approach. We foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment with the goal being that all students feel valued, respected, safe and empowered to reach their full potential.
Partnership with Parents:
We acknowledge and respect that school is an extension of the home. Parent input is important and welcomed throughout each child’s educational journey at VCA.
